Cape Town’s severe storm has hit TEARS Animal Rescue hard.
Our offices are flooding; our kennels and cattery are flooding. There is water everywhere. Our animals are being cared for and their continued wellbeing is our primary concern. We’re doing everything we can — but we urgently need help.
💧 Our drainage infrastructure has failed.
To connect to the municipal sewer line and prevent future disasters, we need to raise R300,000 for emergency drainage infrastructure.
The NSRI Simons Town, Kommetjie and Hout Bay have jumped on board and are assisting with immediate cleanup and removal of water from the site.
But we URGENTLY need:
Sandbags
🧰 3 Water pumps to urgently manage the flooding until infrastructure issues can be addressed
🛏️ Fleece blankets to keep our animals warm and dry
💳 DONATIONS to help us reach the R300,000 needed for emergency drainage and ongoing flood relief
