Limpopo Flying Squad Arrests Foreign National for Drug Dealing in Mokopane

The Limpopo Provincial Flying Squad has arrested a 47-year-old foreign national male in Mokopane for alleged drug dealing after seizing crystal methamphetamine worth approximately R100,000.

The arrest took place on Saturday, 07 June 2025, when officers, acting on intelligence about suspected drug activities, conducted a targeted operation in the Mokopane policing area. Upon searching the identified premises, they found the suspect in possession of the illegal substance, with an estimated street value of R100,000.

Further investigations revealed that the suspect lacked valid documentation to legally reside in South Africa. As a result, an additional charge for contravention of the Immigration Act has been added to his drug-related offenses.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 09 June 2025, where he will face charges of possession and dealing in drugs, as well as immigration violations.
