The Matlala Police have opened an investigation into the mysterious death of an unidentified man whose body was discovered on the side of a public road in Kordon Village on Tuesday morning.
According to police reports, the grim discovery was made on October 28, 2025, at approximately 05:00 along the D19 public road. Police were summoned to the scene where they found the lifeless body of an unknown male with severe multiple injuries to his upper body.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were dispatched to the location and certified the victim dead upon their arrival.
The deceased is believed to be in his twenties. At the time of the discovery, he was wearing a red golf shirt, a blue tracksuit, and was not wearing any shoes.
The motive behind the murder is currently unknown. Police investigations are continuing.
