A 31-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in the Mafube precinct for the possession of suspected narcotics.
The arrest occurred on October 30, 2025, after members of the Sasolburg Public Order Policing unit, who were conducting operations in the area, received a tip-off about a male allegedly selling drugs. The information led them to an informal settlement located near a specific primary school.
Upon their arrival at approximately 1:30 PM, the police located and searched the suspect. The search yielded 30 zip-lock bags containing a substance believed to be crystal meth. An undisclosed amount of cash was also confiscated during the operation.
The suspect is currently in police custody and is expected to be formally charged with possession of suspected drugs. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance before the Mafube Magistrate’s Court in the near future.
