The suspects, aged between 29 and 35, were apprehended following an intelligence-driven operation that spanned from 17:45 on Sunday, 09 November 2025, to 06:00 on Monday, 10 November 2025.

The breakthrough came after authorities received a tip-off regarding a grey Toyota Etios, which was allegedly used by suspects wanted for multiple criminal cases. The vehicle was linked to several burglaries, cable thefts, and solar battery thefts committed in the Mogwadi policing area outside Senwabarwana during March and October of 2025.

Further intelligence indicated that the same car was involved in recent cable theft incidents in Mamahule, within the Polokwane policing area, and was also connected to similar crimes in the Groblersdal area.

Members of the unit were activated and successfully intercepted the vehicle. Upon inspection, police made a critical discovery: the Toyota Etios was fitted with false registration plates and its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) had been tampered with, confirming suspicions that it was a stolen vehicle.

All three suspects were immediately placed under arrest. Police have confirmed that the individuals have been linked to the extensive series of offences committed in the various policing areas.

The successful operation highlights the effectiveness of collaborative efforts between law enforcement and private security partners in combating organized crime in the region.
