Two Extradited to South Africa to Face Murder Charges in AKA and Tibz Case

Two men, Malusi Dave and Siyabonga Gezane Ndimande, have been extradited to South Africa to face a series of serious charges, including the murders of renowned rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The suspects, aged 29 and 30, were handed over by authorities in Eswatini and arrived at King Shaka International Airport in Durban on Tuesday morning. They are scheduled to make their first appearance in the Durban Magistrate’s Court later the same day.

The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed that Dave and Ndimande will face a total of four counts of murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, and one count of attempted murder. Two of the murder charges are directly linked to the February 2022 shooting of Forbes and Motsoane outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road.

The extradition and court appearance mark a significant development in the high-profile case that has gripped the nation for over a year.
