The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Western Cape has launched an intensive investigation following the grim discovery of three bodies inside a vehicle in Montclair on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the corners of Hillcrest Road and Park Way at approximately 06:00, where they found a silver VW Polo containing the bodies of two men and a woman. All three victims are believed to be in their twenties.
According to authorities, the individuals had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Preliminary information from the police suggests that the shooting may be gang-related.
Detectives have been assigned to the case and are currently pursuing several leads in a bid to track down those responsible for the murders.
