n intelligence-driven operation conducted by the South African Police Service’s Anti-Gang Unit led to the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect and the recovery of an unlicensed firearm in Elsies River on Friday, 14 November 2025.
According to police officials, the operation resulted in the suspect being taken into custody for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The arrested individual is scheduled to make his first appearance before the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 17 November 2025, to face the formal charge.
