A 41-year-old suspect is in police custody after being arrested for the possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R350,000.
The arrest occurred on Saturday, 15 November 2025, along the N4 road near Kaapmuiden. According to police, the confiscated substances were confirmed to be crystal methamphetamine, with a total weight of 1.455 kilograms.
The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Barberton Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 17 November 2025, to face formal charges of possession of drugs.
The police have not released further details regarding the circumstances that led to the arrest, but the seizure represents a significant interception of illicit substances destined for the local market.
