Police in the Capricorn District, Limpopo, have arrested a 36-year-old man for the murder of a 42-year-old man from Mmadiga Village, Ga-Dikgale.
The fatal shooting occurred on Sunday, 02 November 2025, at approximately 00:30. According to police, the victim was walking with a friend when a vehicle approached. After the occupants allegedly insulted the pair, a passenger fired multiple shots at the victim before the vehicle fled.
The victim was taken to Mankweng Hospital, where he succumbed to gunshot wounds.
Following the opening of a murder case, investigators traced the suspect to Gauteng Province. He was arrested there on Friday, 05 December 2025. Police recovered a firearm believed to be the murder weapon.
The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 December 2025, on a charge of murder.
