The Burgersfort Regional Court has sentenced 62-year-old Petrus Nkapane Malaka to an effective 25 years in prison following his conviction on charges of rape and displaying pornography to a child.
On Wednesday, 18 February 2026, the court handed down a sentence of 25 years’ direct imprisonment for the rape charge and a consecutive term of two years’ imprisonment for the charge of exposing a minor to pornography.
