Two men, aged 28 and 35, have been arrested on charges of dealing in dagga.
On Thursday, 26 March 2026, at approximately 07:10, members of the Vredefort Community Service Centre, Vredefort Detectives, and reservists acted on information regarding a silver bakhti suspected of being involved in drug dealing.
While patrolling along the R59, the officers spotted and intercepted the identified vehicle near the Vredefort Dome. A search of the vehicle yielded 12 black refuse plastic bags containing Swati dagga.
The dagga weighed approximately 110 kilograms and has an estimated street value of R100,000. It was confiscated.
