DUNCANVILLE, Texas — A man is facing a murder charge after a deadly shooting outside a bowling alley in Duncanville late Sunday night.
The incident occurred around midnight along South Main Street near West Wheatland Road, just outside the entrance to Red Bird Lanes.
According to Duncanville Police Department, Torry Ray Smith is accused of shooting two people at the scene. One victim died from his injuries, while the second victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
Police said Smith fled on foot after the shooting but was quickly apprehended with assistance from the department’s new drone deployed by first responders.
As of Monday morning, there was still no word on any arrests related to a separate shooting also reported in the area.
Smith has been charged with murder in connection with the bowling alley incident.
