A 14-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a 12-year-old boy inside a home on Lathrop Street in southeast Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to the residence after receiving reports of a shooting. Officers found the 12-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
