Man Shot at DeKalb County McDonald’s, Found Miles Away in Car

Decatur, DeKalb County – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a McDonald’s restaurant in Decatur on Tuesday evening, with the victim discovered approximately two miles from the scene.

Authorities responded shortly after 6:00 p.m. to the McDonald’s located at the corner of Wesley Chapel Road and South Harrison Roads. According to police, one man was shot at the location. No information has been released regarding the identity of the shooter.

Officers later found the victim inside a car on the side of Snap Finger Woods Drive, about two miles from the restaurant. Police noted that the vehicle’s hazard lights were flashing at the time. The victim was transported to a hospital and was listed in stable condition at last check.

The investigation remains ongoing.
