As part of ongoing crime prevention operations, members of the Kraaifontein Crime Prevention Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Rigoletto Street, Scottsdene, resulting in the seizure of a 9mm pistol and more than 150 rounds of ammunition.
The search was conducted on Sunday, 03 May 2026, at approximately 23:30. Upon arrival at the address, officers encountered a 28-year-old female suspect. A search of the premises led to the recovery of:

19 rounds of .38 caliber ammunition

Nine rounds of 9mm ammunition
The suspect was arrested on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. She is scheduled to appear before the Kuilsriver Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 05 May 2026.
