The Polokwane Division of the High Court sentenced 24-year-old Thabang Hendrick Letsebe to 20 years of direct imprisonment on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, for the murder of his 2-year-old biological son.
The crime occurred on Sunday, 6 October 2024, in Shongoane village, within the Villa Nora policing area outside Lephalale. At approximately 06:00, police responded to a call from a community member and discovered the mutilated body of the 2-year-old boy lying on a bed. Letsebe was found at the scene in possession of some of the victim’s body parts. He was arrested and charged with murder on site.
