A 39-year-old suspect has been arrested for common robbery following a swift response by members of the Provincial Flying Squad during routine patrols in the Polokwane CBD on Sunday, 10 May 2026.
According to police reports, officers were conducting routine patrols in identified hotspot areas when they observed a robbery in progress at the corner of Rissik and Paul Kruger Streets. The members immediately intervened, causing the suspects to flee in different directions.
A foot chase ensued, leading to the successful arrest of one suspect at the scene. The victim was assisted, and no injuries were reported.
The suspect has been charged with common robbery and is scheduled to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.
