Two Suspects Fatally Shot, One Arrested in Sydenham Police Shootout

Two suspected armed robbers were shot and fatally wounded during a shootout with police on Thursday afternoon, according to official reports.

The incident occurred along Burnwood Road, where police officers witnessed a robbery in progress. Three suspects traveling in a white Kia sedan were robbing a man of his belongings at the time.

Upon noticing the presence of police, the suspects drove off. Their vehicle subsequently collided with a minibus taxi, after which the suspects abandoned the car.

A confrontation followed, leading to an exchange of gunfire between police and the suspects. Two suspects were shot and fatally wounded, while a third suspect was arrested.

The arrested individual will face charges of armed robbery and attempted murder of police officers. No police officers were injured during the shootout.
