Police have launched a double murder investigation after the bodies of two adult males were discovered along the N1 Road towards Beitbridge, opposite Phase 8 in Matswale, on Friday, 15 May 2026, at approximately 12:50.
Authorities were summoned to the scene following a report of an alleged murder. Upon arrival, officers found two men lying motionless on the ground.
The deceased have been identified as Mokwena Tshepo, 45, a resident of Matswale Phase 12, and Mbedzi Edzisani, 28, a resident of Matswale Phase 03. Both victims sustained multiple injuries, including gunshot wounds and bruises.
Emergency Medical Services personnel attended the scene and certified both victims dead.
Police have opened two cases of murder. The circumstances leading to the incident remain unknown. Further investigations are ongoing.
