Crime scene experts continue to investigate a shooting incident in which three people were killed and two others wounded by gunmen in Franschhoek, Cape Winelands, on Sunday morning.
According to reports from the scene, two gunmen entered a home on Jakaranda Street in Groendal at approximately 9:55 a.m. on Sunday and fired multiple shots. Three men were pronounced dead at the scene. A woman and another man sustained injuries.
The victims are aged between 30 and 35.
Franschhoek police have opened murder and attempted murder dockets. The investigation has since been taken over by Provincial Serious Violent Crimes detectives.
No arrests have been made. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Authorities continue to search for the perpetrators.
