Four armed suspects are scheduled to appear before the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court later this week on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm, car breaking implements, and drugs.
The four were arrested earlier this morning, 19 May 2026, at the corner of Bakenkloof and Wonderboom Streets.
Authorities acted on a tip‑off about a suspicious silver VW Polo with occupants driving around the residential area. An integrated team was immediately assembled, comprising the Pretoria North SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, Detectives, the Tshwane Metro Police Bikers (TMPD), and Maximum Security Services.
The team tracked the suspects’ vehicle until it was intercepted along Bakenkloof Street. Police recovered one unlicensed revolver with ammunition, car breaking implements, and drugs identified as Crystal Meth.
All four suspects were arrested on the scene and detained at Pretoria North Station for further investigation. One of the suspects has been identified as a possible intruder linked to a housebreaking incident previously reported in the area.
