Police in KwaZulu-Natal have arrested a suspect on charges of drug possession, drug dealing, and illegal possession of ammunition following a raid in Chatsworth on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
Members of the Provincial Drugs and Firearms Unit, in collaboration with a K9 unit from SAPS’ E2 partner, acted on intelligence regarding a man allegedly involved in drug dealing, police said.
During a search of the suspect’s property, law enforcement recovered pieces of rock cocaine and mandrax tablets with an estimated street value exceeding R220,000. Authorities also found four rounds of ammunition and R4,000 in cash, which police believe constitutes proceeds from criminal activity.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
