A 31-year-old man is facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property following a successful police operation in the Mopani District on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
Acting on credible intelligence, officers from the Mokwakwaila Police Station responded to reports of a refrigerator stolen from an abandoned business premises in Skhemming Village, under the Giyani policing jurisdiction. Surveillance efforts led police to Ga-Ramodumo, within the Mokwakwaila policing area, where the suspect was intercepted while unloading the appliance.
The suspected stolen refrigerator was promptly recovered. When questioned, the 31-year-old man failed to provide a verifiable account of how he came into possession of the item.
He has since been formally charged and is set to make his first appearance in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 25 May 2026.
