Gunmen Open Fire on Vehicle at Centurion Golf Estate, Leaving Four Casualties

CENTURION — A violent shooting at the Blue Valley Golf Country Estate in Centurion on Thursday has resulted in two fatalities and two injuries, Gauteng police confirmed.

Authorities are now pursuing leads in a dual investigation of murder and attempted murder after unknown assailants fired upon a vehicle carrying four occupants as it entered the gated estate.

Gauteng police spokespersons stated that the victims were inside their car at the time of the attack. “The victims were going into the Blue Valley Golf Country Estate in their car when they were attacked by unknown assailants,” spokespersons said. “Two people have been killed and two others injured.”

Forensic investigators and detectives remain on site examining evidence. Police spokespersons indicated that establishing the motive behind the targeted shooting is a key priority in the ongoing probe.

No suspects have been apprehended, and the identities of those killed and injured have not been made public while authorities work to notify family members. Gauteng police spokespersons have appealed to members of the public with any relevant information to contact investigators to aid in solving the case.

The investigation continues as law enforcement works to identify and locate those responsible for the attack.
