Four Suspects Arrested in Musina Robbery Spree Operation

Four male suspects, aged between 20 and 30, were arrested Tuesday in connection with a series of robberies in the Musina policing area, following an intelligence-driven police operation.

On Tuesday, 02 June 2026, at approximately 09:30, law enforcement officers executed a targeted operation in Matswale Phase 06 based on credible information linking suspects to robberies committed at Sidiba Truck Park and Nancefield location on Monday, 01 June 2026.

During the operation, a 30-year-old man was apprehended at a rental residence in Matswale Phase 06. Authorities seized a black Citi Golf motor vehicle allegedly used during the commission of the robberies. The suspect was found in possession of 14 boxes of flavoured powdered drink, with an estimated value of R5,040.00, as well as keys belonging to a black Mercedes-Benz truck. He has been charged with possession of suspected stolen property.

Police subsequently proceeded to Matswale Phase 02, where two additional male suspects, aged 20 and 21, were intercepted while carrying a black Nike side bag. A search of the bag revealed an unlicensed firearm. Both individuals were arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

A fourth suspect, a 25-year-old male, was arrested at his residence in Matswale Extension 09 in connection with robbery with a firearm.

The total estimated value of goods recovered during the operation is R65,040.00.

All four suspects are scheduled to appear before the Musina Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 04 June 2026. Police investigations remain ongoing.
