Limpopo Police Nab Two Suspects, Recover Weapon and Loot Linked to Robbery

Two men are set to appear in court following their arrest in connection with a business robbery that took place in the Makhado policing area in May 2026.

The suspects, aged 34 and 35, were traced and apprehended during a coordinated, intelligence-driven operation carried out by SAPS Makhado Detectives on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.

During the operation, police confiscated an unlicensed pistol and a magazine loaded with seven rounds of ammunition. Officers also seized 11 cellphones and three pepper sprays, which are suspected to be stolen property linked to the May incident.

The duo has been formally charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, alongside possession of suspected stolen property.

Limpopo Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the arrests, commending the involved officers for their continued commitment to combating crime in the province.
