BLOEMSPRUIT — A 26-year-old suspect was arrested on Saturday, June 14, 2026, after the Bloemspruit Crime Prevention Unit seized illegal narcotics during Operation Shanela II.
During the operation, officers discovered a plastic bag containing a substantial quantity of crystal meth, commonly known as tik, and Mandrax tablets. The confiscated drugs have an estimated street value of R25,000.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and is currently facing charges of dealing in illicit drugs.
