NINA PARK – An adult female is in serious condition at a hospital after being found with extensive burn injuries in a park in Nina Park.
PVES members received a call for assistance regarding the incident and immediately requested ambulance services to respond to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency responders located the adult female who had sustained severe burns. Immediate emergency care was initiated, including the establishment of an airway and the administration of oxygen therapy, while awaiting additional resources.
Following a thorough assessment of the patient, Advanced Life Support (ALS) assistance was requested for further medical intervention. ALS personnel arrived within minutes and assisted with intraosseous (IO) access placement and advanced pain management.
The patient was stabilized on scene and provided with ongoing treatment to ensure her comfort before being transported as a Priority 1 patient to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the patient was handed over to hospital staff, where she remains in serious condition.
