EASTERN CAPE — A Tsolo domestic murder suspect is scheduled to stand before a magistrate after allegedly killing his partner in a violent mid-week attack. The 32-year-old man was taken into custody following the death of the 36-year-old woman, an incident that has prompted widespread outrage and swift action by local authorities.
The fatal event unfolded on Tuesday afternoon, 11/08, at roughly 15:15. Police responded to a residence in the Phumla Mqeshwa locality—situated within the Mayaluleni A/A (Administrative Area) of Tsolo. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, who originally hailed from the nearby Bhelesi locality, suffering from extensive trauma and multiple lacerations across her upper and lower body.
A rapid manhunt ensued, culminating in the arrest of the victim’s boyfriend. According to law enforcement, the individual was intercepted and cornered by officers just as he was attempting to escape the jurisdiction. The investigative process moved swiftly; by the following day, Wednesday, 12/08, the accused had completed a lawful pointing out of the scene and provided a formal confession.
