SleepCheck Brings The Latest Sleep Therapy Technology to South Africa

Cape Town, South Africa – SleepCheck, a South African supplier, distributor and home sleep care service provider, today announced the local launch of the ResFree R-20A APAP, its top APAP model and most connected device to date. The move brings a new level of remote care to sleep apnea patients across the country, alongside the ResFree R-30A BiPAP, a companion product joining the range at the same time.

SleepCheck has built its reputation on supplying and supporting CPAP, APAP and BiPAP machines, sleep apnea masks, accessories and home oxygen equipment for South African patients. With this launch, the company adds two standout products to its range, each designed to make therapy more accurate, more comfortable and easier to manage from home.

Remote Monitoring Comes to APAP Therapy

The ResFree R-20A runs CPAP and APAP modes across a 4 to 20cmH2O pressure range, and includes adjustable boost sensitivity across three levels: standard for general users, soft for patients who are sensitive to pressure, and sensitive for those seeking rapid treatment results.

The real headline feature is connectivity. The R-20A connects via WiFi to a cloud-based health management platform, allowing SleepCheck’s team to monitor device usage and treatment effects online and make adjustments to a patient’s settings remotely.

Patients no longer need to travel into practice for every routine check or setting change, since the platform allows the SleepCheck team, and authorised doctors or family members, to view usage data and generate reports that support ongoing treatment decisions.

Running at 26dBA or lower and weighing just 1.37kg, the R-20A is designed to disappear quietly into a patient’s bedtime routine rather than dominate it.

Also Joining the Range: The ResFree R-30A BiPAP

Alongside the R-20A, SleepCheck is introducing the ResFree R-30A BiPAP, an auto-titrating device built on the same hardware platform.

The R-30A extends the same approach to a wider 4 to 30cmH2O pressure range and supports CPAP, APAP, iAPAP, S and AutoB modes, giving clinicians a bit more headroom for patients who need it.

Like its sibling, it shares the same compact 243mm by 181mm by 110mm size and 1.37kg weight, though it runs as a standalone device without WiFi connectivity.

Bringing Connected Care Home

By introducing the R-20A and R-30A, SleepCheck is widening what South African patients can access, from cloud connected APAP therapy to a dependable, wider-range BiPAP option.

Patients get sleep therapy suited to their needs, and SleepCheck’s clinical team gets the tools to support each device in the way that fits it best.

We are proud to be one of the few companies in South Africa able to offer this level of technology to our patients. Bringing the R-20A and R-30A into our range means South Africans can access advanced sleep therapy options, from connected remote monitoring to dependable standalone care, backed by the local support SleepCheck has always stood for.”  said Calvin Ross Holder, Managing Director at SleepCheck.

The ResFree R-20A APAP and R-30A BiPAP are available now through SleepCheck.
