Complaint Lodged Against Panelist in Top Prosecutor Interviews

A complaint has been lodged against one of the panelists overseeing the interviews for the next Director of Public Prosecutions. Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi revealed the objection during a sitting of the interviews.

Minister Kubayi stated the complaint was submitted by the Amalgamated Lawyers Association against Nkosana Mvundlela, the President of the Black Lawyers Association. However, the Minister dismissed the objection, urging all parties to allow the panel to complete its work.

“I want to urge South Africans to allow the panel to do its work so that we can conclude the work,” said Minister Kubayi. “Some of these things are becoming just an unnecessary distraction that we do not need. So with that, we will proceed to our candidates.”
