GAUTENG — A targeted law enforcement operation resulting in a major Eldorado Park arrest has left a 57-year-old man facing severe charges for illegal gun possession and narcotics distribution. Acting on intelligence, joint police units raided a property within the precinct on Saturday, 27 June 2026, confiscating an unlicensed weapon and illicit substances.
The successful intervention was a collaborative effort between the Eldorado Park Crime Prevention Unit and the Gauteng Traffic Wardens. Authorities mobilized after receiving actionable information from a reliable source regarding a suspect harboring illegal firearms and drugs within the Eldorado Park policing precinct.
Officers proceeded to the identified address and executed a comprehensive search of the premises. The operation yielded significant seizures, including one 9mm firearm, one magazine, 59 rounds of live ammunition, and drugs wrapped in a plastic packet.
Following the recovery of the contraband, the 57-year-old male suspect was apprehended at the scene. He has been formally charged with dealing in drugs, alongside the unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
