Nine SAPS Officers Suspended Amid Medicare24 Tender Probe

Nine South African Police Service (SAPS) officers have been suspended over their roles in the Medicare24 tender process. The affected individuals were serving as members of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) during the procurement proceedings.

SAPS confirmed that the officers will remain suspended until all related investigations and disciplinary processes are fully concluded.

Addressing the situation, the police service reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the strictest standards of transparency, integrity, and ethical behavior across all of its operations.

Citing the active and ongoing nature of the internal processes, SAPS stated it will not release any additional comments or details regarding the matter at this time.
