Addressing public safety, party representatives emphasized the urgent need to guarantee secure living environments for all residents. SACP spokespersons stressed that municipal law enforcement agencies must operate in strict collaboration with the South African Police Service (SAPS). Candidates pointed out that many students finishing primary school are unable to secure placements in high schools within their own communities, forcing them to travel far outside their immediate areas for their education.
Furthermore, spokespersons drew urgent attention to a staggering 62% youth unemployment rate, describing it as a critical crisis that demands immediate intervention. The unveiled candidates have pledged to make a tangible, measurable impact on these statistics through targeted local economic initiatives.
