Two Arrested for Dagga Dealing in Johannesburg

JOHANNESBURG – Two men were arrested on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, for dealing in dagga following an intelligence-led operation in the Jeppe policing precinct.

The Johannesburg K9 Unit, supported by the Gauteng Highway Patrol, acted on intelligence regarding suspected drug dealing in the area. The information directed officers to Bezuidenhout Valley, where they located two male suspects, aged 45 and 46.

During the operation, police seized a large quantity of dagga packaged in plastic bags, with an estimated street value of approximately R150,000.

The suspects were arrested on charges of dealing in dagga and are expected to appear in court soon.
