Joburg set to come alive for a fantastic Heritage Day celebration at the 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K

The streets of Johannesburg will come alive on Thursday, 24 September 2026, when the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K takes centre stage on National Heritage Day, bringing thousands of runners together for a fantastic celebration of South African sport, culture, music and community.

The Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K route offers runners a unique opportunity to experience the energy of the City of Gold from a fresh perspective. With its iconic M1 and M2 highways transformed into a vibrant running route, the course combines the excitement of big-city running with passionate spectators, energetic sponsor entertainment zones and the unmistakable spirit of Johannesburg.

Local performers, energetic cheer zones and enthusiastic supporters will bring the route to life, creating an electric atmosphere that celebrates Johannesburg’s diversity, heritage and unmistakable energy.
