The Totalsports Women’s Race is set to paint the streets of Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg pink once again this August as South Africa’s largest Women’s Month road running celebration returns for another unforgettable three-city series. Taking place on Sunday, 02 August 2026 (Durban), Sunday, 09 August 2026 (Cape Town) and Sunday, 16 August 2026 (Johannesburg), the event promises inspiring race-day experiences, vibrant entertainment and scenic routes that showcase the unique character of each host city.
With the official routes now confirmed, entrants can look forward to an unforgettable journey from start to finish.
“We’re excited to once again welcome thousands of women to the streets of Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg this August,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “Each route has been carefully designed to deliver an enjoyable and memorable experience, whether participants are chasing a personal best, walking with friends and family, or celebrating Women’s Month together. From vibrant on-route entertainment to the incredible atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Totalsports Women’s Race, every kilometre is an opportunity to celebrate strength, unity and the joy of movement. We can’t wait to see the streets come alive with a sea of pink across all three cities.”
On the Durban Route
“We’re proud to once again offer runners our fast and flat Durban route, which has earned a reputation as the ideal course for chasing personal bests and record-breaking performances,” continues Meyer. “Following the success of the 2025 event, we’ve retained the same route, giving returning participants a familiar course while welcoming first-time entrants to experience one of South Africa’s fastest road running routes. From the beachfront to iconic landmarks such as Blue Lagoon and the Moses Mabhida Stadium, it’s a scenic and exciting journey from start to finish.”
On the Cape Town Route
“The Cape Town route offers runners the perfect blend of speed and challenge, combining fast, flowing sections with iconic climbs that showcase the very best of the Mother City. Winding through the heart of the CBD, participants will be treated to spectacular views of Table Mountain, pass historic landmarks like City Hall, and soak up the unique culture, energy, and atmosphere that make Cape Town one of the world’s most beautiful destinations. It’s a route that promises an unforgettable race-day experience from start to finish,” confirms Meyer.
On the Johannesburg Route
“Johannesburg’s routes have been carefully designed to deliver an even better experience for all participants,” says Meyer. “While it still offers a rewarding challenge, the course is less hilly than last year’s route, creating a faster and more enjoyable run. We’ve completely redesigned both the 5km and 10km routes to ease congestion through the suburban sections, while showcasing the natural beauty of Emmarentia, its surrounding neighbourhoods and the picturesque Zoo Lake. We believe runners will really enjoy the fresh look and feel of this year’s Johannesburg event.”

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome thousands of women back to the Totalsports Women’s Race this August,” says Nikki Crous, Head of Marketing at Totalsports. “Each route has been carefully selected to offer a memorable experience, taking participants through some of the most iconic and scenic parts of Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Whether you’re lining up for your first 5km, chasing a new 10km personal best or simply enjoying a fun morning out with friends and family, there’s something truly special about being part of this celebration of women, fitness and community. We look forward to seeing the streets come alive with a sea of pink as participants create unforgettable memories across all three cities.”
