Investigators are looking into an early-morning confrontation in which a couple walking home was harassed and then involved in a violent clash with an unidentified man.
According to police, the incident occurred just after 1 a.m. off Belvoir Drive near Castle Hills. A man and woman were walking home when another man began provoking and harassing them as they continued on their way.
Officers say the situation escalated when the victim attempted to fight off the other man. At some point, the victim pulled out a pocket knife in an effort to defend himself against the suspect.
Police detained the unidentified man for questioning. Investigators believe he may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.
It is reported that the victim is expected to be OK.
