San Antonio police are investigating the shooting death of a 44-year-old woman inside a residence on the 1000 block of Donaldson Avenue as a murder.
According to SAPD, officers were dispatched to the home just after 12:30 p.m. for a welfare check. The homeowner, who was not present at the time, had received information from a family member about a possible shooting inside the house. After attempting to contact another resident by phone without success, the homeowner called police.
Upon entering the residence, officers discovered the woman dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
SAPD spokesperson confirmed that the incident is being investigated as a murder. Detectives spent hours on scene documenting evidence both inside and outside the light-colored home.
As of the latest update, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released the victim’s identity or additional details about possible suspects.
The case remains under active investigation.
