A 26-year-old man is in police custody following his arrest on Friday, 12 December 2025, for the possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R6,000.
The arrest was effected at the suspect’s residence by members of the Waterberg Flying Squad, in collaboration with two private security companies.
According to police reports, the operation was initiated after officers, while conducting their duties in the Mookgophong precinct, received credible information about a male suspect allegedly selling drugs from his home. Police promptly proceeded to the identified premises.
Upon arrival, a search of the house was conducted. The operation led to the discovery and seizure of six bags and two sachets containing Crystal Meth.
The suspect was immediately placed under arrest at the scene.
He is scheduled to make his first appearance before the Mookgophong Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 15 December 2025, to face a formal charge of possession of drugs.
Police have confirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
