Sipho Ngwako Masila (39) appeared in the Temba Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, charged with three counts of murder and two counts of rape. The court remanded him in custody until his next appearance on Friday, 9 January 2026.
Masila was arrested on the night of Monday, 15 December 2025, at his home in Moeka Vuma village following a police response to a domestic violence complaint. He is accused of pointing a firearm at his girlfriend and raping her two daughters, aged 12 and 16, between 31 March and 14 December 2025.
During the arrest, police seized an illegal firearm and numerous suspected stolen items from the house. Initial investigations have linked Masila to the three murders and determined that the recovered goods belonged to the murder victims.
