Two suspects, aged 26 and 38, were arrested on 15 April 2026 following an intelligence-driven operation involving multiple law enforcement and private security entities.
The operation was conducted by members of Crime Intelligence Narcotics, the Sedibeng Tactical Response Team (TRT), the JMPD K9 unit, and private security companies Safeguard Risk Management and Ghost Tactical Services under the Eyes and Ears Initiative (E2).
Acting on information regarding a suspect linked to an ATM bombing that took place in Kliprivier in February 2026, the team traced the individual to Orlando East. At the location, the suspect was found in possession of dye-stained banknotes.
Further investigations led authorities to a second suspect in Diepkloof, Zone 4, where explosives were recovered.
Both suspects face charges of possession of explosives and possession of suspected stolen money. They are expected to be linked to the February ATM bombing case in Kliprivier and are scheduled to appear before the Orlando Court soon.
