Thornton police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Monday afternoon, with one person taken into custody shortly after the event.
Authorities responded to reports of shots fired near East 100th Avenue and Williams Way. Video captured from the scene showed law enforcement activity in the area as officers investigated the calls.
According to a police spokesperson, one individual has been arrested in connection with the shooting. The spokesperson confirmed that nobody was injured during the incident and no property damage was discovered.
“There are no other suspects at this time,” the spokesperson added.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to gather information surrounding the circumstances of the shots fired in the neighborhood.
