25 Years Behind Bars for Kimberley Man Convicted of Raping 17-Year-Old

The Frances Baard District Management has commended a successful legal outcome that resulted in a 26-year-old Kimberley man receiving a 25-year prison sentence for rape. The Kimberley Regional Court handed down the lengthy sentence after finding the accused guilty.

District leadership specifically praised the exceptional investigative work of Detective Sergeant Neo Enoch Noge, a member of the Kimberley Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit, whose efforts directly led to the conviction.

The case originated on Friday, 01 March 2024, when a 17-year-old victim reported the sexual assault at the Kimberley Police Station. Following the report, Detective Sergeant Noge was assigned to take charge of the investigation.
