Soweto Human Organs Discovery: Two Arrested Following Hijacked Vehicle Raid in Naledi

JMPD Tactical Response Unit uncovers stolen National Department of Health vehicle and buckets containing hearts and lungs during a Nape Street tip-off operation.

NALEDI, Soweto — A shocking Soweto human organs discovery has led to the arrest of two men in Naledi, after police raided a property and found a hijacked vehicle alongside buckets containing body parts. The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) Tactical Response Unit made the grim find while executing a targeted operation in the suburb.

According to a JMPD spokesperson, the sequence of events began during standard crime prevention patrols. Authorities received a tip-off detailing that a motor vehicle was actively being stripped at a home on Nape Street. When tactical officers arrived at the scene, they observed that the property’s main gate was already wide open. Proceeding into the yard, they noticed the residence’s front door was ajar. After receiving no verbal response to their knocks, the officers entered the premises to secure the area.

Inside the dwelling, police confronted the first male suspect. Upon being challenged by the officers, the man attempted to deflect suspicion, claiming that a white Volkswagen Caddy parked inside the on-site garage was legally owned by the homeowner. However, a detailed inspection of the vehicle told a different story.

A JMPD spokesperson confirmed that the VW Caddy was actually the property of the National Department of Health. System verification checks instantly flagged the vehicle as a recently hijacked automobile, confirming it was mid-way through a stripping process.

Following the seizure of the stolen vehicle, officers expanded their search to the exterior of the property. This sweep led to the apprehension of a second male suspect who was attempting to conceal himself in the backyard. While scouring the yard, police stumbled upon a highly disturbing scene: two buckets that allegedly contained human organs, specifically identified as hearts and lungs.

Both men were immediately taken into custody. A JMPD spokesperson stated that the suspects have been formally processed at the local Naledi SAPS station. They are currently being held on dual charges of possession of a hijacked vehicle and possession of human organs.

Commending the tactical team for their vigilant and outstanding work, the JMPD noted that the investigation is far from over. Joint task teams from the SAPS and JMPD are now aggressively pursuing the case to determine the exact origin of the recovered hearts and lungs, while simultaneously attempting to track down the actual homeowner of the Nape Street property.
