ADIDAS AND MERCEDES-AMG PETRONAS F1 TEAM UNVEIL BLUE WONDER COLLECTION – HONORING MOTORSPORT LEGACY FOR THE TEAM AND FANS WHO CARRY IT FORWARD

adidas and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team reveal the Blue Wonder Collection, designed to bring a retro aesthetic to the Silverstone paddock for the British Grand Prix. Inspired by the historic transporter truck used in the 1955 season built to carry the team’s pinnacle racing car to event weekends, the collection pays homage at the circuit that sits closest to the team’s headquarters in Brackley and Brixworth.  

Set to be worn by Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, and the rest of the team – from mechanics to engineers – the collection is anchored in the transporter’s signature bold blue aesthetic and is designed as an expression of heritage, innovation and collaboration. Offset by crisp white detailing that echoes the original typography of the vehicle, reflecting the precision and detail behind the team’s pursuit of excellence.  

The hero authentic drivers’ jersey embodies this story through a blue base, finished with subtle faded pinstripes that nod to the capsule’s heritage focus, creating a refined contour for a retro paddock aesthetic. Crisp white logos punctuate the core palette, with matching detailing across the shoulders, collar and cuffs creating a sharp aesthetic. The design logic is carried across jackets, trousers, footwear and accessories, offering a complete range built for fans and athletes, the stands and the paddock.  

An engineering masterpiece, the transporter reflected innovation and teamwork, embodying a shared identity that unites the entire team from garage to race day. This spirit is brought to life through a subtle sign-off on the drivers’ jersey that reads “Every Dream Needs a Team”. A classic British Harrington jacket deepens the home race connection, infused with Blue Wonder hues and tartan lining that echo the interior. Across every piece, the adidas Trefoil logo features, a first for motorsport, bringing heritage and a sense of nostalgia to today’s paddock.
