Man to Appear in Court for House Robbery and Vehicle Theft

A 34-year-old man, Karabo Mooketsi, is scheduled to appear in the Madikwe Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 October 2025, to face formal charges of house robbery and the theft of a motor vehicle.

The charges stem from a violent incident that occurred on the evening of Monday, 20 October 2025, in Kgosing Section, Molatedi Village, Madikwe. According to police reports, a homeowner had just returned to his residence, parked his Ford Ranger outside, and entered his home. When he went back outside to retrieve an item from his vehicle, he was accosted by an unknown man.

The suspect allegedly threatened the victim with a knife before proceeding to tie his hands and feet. The assailant then ransacked the house, stealing a laptop, a cell phone, and various other household goods. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s Ford Ranger.

Following the robbery, a swift investigation led to the arrest of Mooketsi in Delareyville on Tuesday, 21 October 2025. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of the stolen motor vehicle and other items taken during the robbery.

Mooketsi made his initial appearance before the Delareyville Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 22 October 2025. His case has been transferred to the Madikwe Magistrate’s Court, where he is expected to formally apply for bail on Monday.
