Police in Seshego have arrested a 53-year-old male suspect in connection with a missing person and kidnapping case reported on 27 March 2026.
According to police reports, the 54-year-old female victim was last seen on 26 March 2026 at approximately 21:00. She was in the company of her ex-boyfriend, who had picked her up and taken her to a fast-food outlet at Circle Centre in Seshego. During the outing, the victim contacted a colleague by phone and stated that she was with the suspect. The call was then abruptly terminated.
The victim’s body was later discovered by municipal workers in bushes near the Silicon area, outside Polokwane.
Following police investigations, the 53-year-old male suspect was identified, traced, and arrested in Tzaneen on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in the near future to face a charge of murder.
