Murder Investigation Launched After 61-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Allanridge Home

FREE STATE – A murder investigation has been launched in Allanridge after a 61-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Nyakallong. Law enforcement officials are actively probing the homicide following the discovery of the victim on Monday, 7 September 2026.

Allanridge police received a formal complaint at approximately 12:00 on that day. The report was initiated after the victim’s colleagues grew concerned when she failed to report for work and could not be contacted. They immediately informed the victim’s daughter, who subsequently sought assistance from law enforcement.

Upon arriving at the identified address and gaining entry to the premises, officers discovered the 61-year-old woman lying motionless on a bed in the bedroom. She was found unclothed, with her hands and feet bound together with a rope.

Emergency Medical Services were promptly dispatched to the scene, where the victim was officially declared deceased.

An Allanridge police spokesperson confirmed that the motive for the murder remains unclear at this stage. Comprehensive investigations are currently underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify those responsible.
